How JointCareFormula handles personal information for people in the United Kingdom.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. About this notice
This notice explains how the business operating JointCareFormula handles personal information in connection with this website and enquiries sent to us. It is intended for visitors in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We apply the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable UK data protection rules.
JointCareFormula is the name used on this website. The business responsible for deciding why and how personal information is used is the data controller. To ask about the controller, our processing or your rights, contact [email protected]. Please identify the issue clearly so we can direct it to the appropriate person.
2. Information handled by the current website
The current pages do not contain customer registration, order-submission or review-submission forms, and do not collect payment card information. Selecting a bundle changes the displayed price in your browser; that selection is not automatically submitted to us.
If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you use, your message and any attachments. You may choose to include an order reference or delivery information when discussing a purchase. Please send only what is needed and do not include full card details, passwords, identity documents or information about your health unless we have specifically explained a legitimate need and a secure way to provide it.
When the site is hosted online, the hosting service may process routine request information such as an IP address, requested page, browser information and access time to deliver the pages and protect the service. These are different from advertising analytics. The downloadable pages themselves contain no advertising pixels, remote fonts or analytics scripts.
3. Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Usual lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Answer a product enquiry or discuss a purchase you request | Steps requested before entering a contract, or performance of a contract where one exists. |
| Handle general correspondence and improve the accuracy of our information | Legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and operating the business responsibly. |
| Protect the website and investigate misuse | Legitimate interests in service security, subject to balancing your rights. |
| Keep legally required transaction, tax or complaint records | Compliance with an applicable legal obligation. |
| Send optional marketing, if introduced | Consent where required by electronic-marketing rules; a separate explanation would be provided first. |
We do not assume that contacting us gives permission for unrelated marketing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Who may receive information
Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for the relevant purpose. Depending on the enquiry, this may include email and hosting providers, authorised customer-service personnel, professional advisers or a delivery provider where a purchase is separately arranged. We would explain any additional information required for that arrangement before it is used.
We do not sell personal information or provide it to third parties for their independent advertising. Information may be disclosed where legally required, to respond to a valid authority request, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. International handling
Email or hosting providers may process information outside the UK. We do not represent that every service is UK-hosted. Where we are responsible for a restricted international transfer, an applicable UK adequacy arrangement, appropriate contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism must cover it. You can ask us for information about relevant providers, locations and safeguards.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for the purpose for which it was obtained, rather than indefinitely by default. Relevant factors include whether an enquiry is resolved, whether there is an ongoing purchase or complaint, any statutory record-keeping duty and whether information is reasonably needed for a legal claim. We then delete it, anonymise it or restrict further use as appropriate. Ask us for the retention information relevant to your particular record.
We use proportionate access and organisational safeguards, but no website or email service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive details in ordinary email. If you believe information has been sent to us in error or exposed, contact us promptly.
7. Your UK data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, correction, erasure, restricted use or a portable copy of information you supplied. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and may object to direct marketing at any time. These rights have conditions and legal exceptions; for example, deletion may not apply to a record we must retain by law.
Send a request to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to establish identity or clarify what you are seeking. We normally respond within one calendar month; permitted extensions or pauses may apply under current law, and we will explain them where relevant. Requests are normally free of charge.
8. Complaints and changes
We welcome the chance to resolve a privacy concern first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. Your ability to complain does not depend on making a purchase.
Changes to this notice will be dated on this page. A material new collection purpose or optional tracking feature requires appropriate updated information and, where necessary, a fresh choice. Read our Cookie policy for browser-storage details.
