Cookie policy
Cookies and browser storage on JointCareFormula: information for UK visitors.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. Scope of this policy
This policy explains storage used by the current JointCareFormula pages and your choices as a visitor in the United Kingdom. UK rules on cookies and similar technologies include the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Depending on what information is involved, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 may also apply.
These rules are not limited to traditional cookies. They can cover local storage and other methods of storing information on, or accessing information from, your device. We explain the actual current behaviour below rather than treating every type of browser storage as advertising.
2. What the current pages use
| Item | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
jointcareformula-consent-v1 | A first-party local-storage preference that remembers your selection on the storage notice. It remains in that browser until you clear it or use the reset control below. |
The stored value records the notice choice; it does not contain your name, telephone number, card details or a purchase history. The page reads it on a later visit so it can avoid repeatedly showing the same notice. The current script writes this preference when you click one of the notice controls.
Bundle selections are used only to update the current page. They are not written to a persistent basket, sent to a payment service or shared with an advertising platform. The current browser script does not call the optional PHP utilities retained with the website source, so those utilities do not create a session merely because you view these static pages.
3. What is not installed
This version contains no advertising pixels, analytics tags, social-media widgets, embedded third-party videos or remote web fonts. Images, styles and scripts are supplied with the website files. It does not use a third-party checkout or an automatically connected review service.
We do not use the notice buttons as permission to introduce undisclosed tracking. The “Got it” control acknowledges the information; “Essential only” expresses a preference against optional storage. Both remember your notice choice. Neither activates analytics or advertising because no such tools are present.
4. Necessary storage and future optional tools
UK law permits certain storage without prior consent where a relevant exemption applies, including storage strictly necessary for a service you request. This is a limited exception, not general permission for advertising or useful-but-optional features. Where consent is required, an optional tool must wait for an active, informed choice.
If we add optional analytics, advertising, personalisation or embedded services, we will first identify the purposes, providers and relevant storage periods, update this policy and provide appropriate controls. Declining optional storage should be as straightforward as agreeing to it. Withdrawal must stop future optional use, subject to any technical steps explained at that time.
5. Reset or clear your preference
You may clear this website’s local storage using your browser’s site-data settings. Settings and terminology differ by browser and device. Clearing data in one browser does not automatically clear it in another browser or on another device.
You can also configure your browser to block local storage. The site is designed to continue displaying its main content, although the notice may reappear on other pages because the preference cannot be saved.
6. Hosting and communication services
A hosting provider may process technical request logs to serve and secure the website. Request logs are not the same as cookies or local storage. The privacy implications of email enquiries and online hosting are described in our Privacy policy.
If infrastructure or service providers introduce additional storage, its use and disclosure must be assessed before that feature is enabled. We do not claim that this policy approves every setting a future host or integration might choose.
7. Questions and updates
Contact [email protected] if you want more information about the current preference or need help finding our storage information. We may update this policy when the actual site changes, with the revision date shown above. You may raise concerns about UK cookie or data-protection rules with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
